Some members of the HRG have been studying swordplay for many years. HRG's longsword program now has formal ties to the Selohaar Fechtschule system of Christian H. Tobler.

For those of you who may not know Christian, he is not only David Teague's long time instructor of the longsword but the founder and principal instructor of the Selohaar Fechtschule. He's an internationally-known researcher, instructor,and author of the medieval German school of fighting.
